How to Use Beard Care Products
A proper beard-care routine doesn’t need to be complicated. These simple instructions explain how to use beard oil, butter, balm, wash and conditioner to keep your facial hair feeling softer, cleaner and more manageable.

HOW TO USE BEARD OIL
After washing or showering, gently towel-dry your beard so it is slightly damp. Place a few drops of beard oil into your palm, rub your hands together and massage it into the skin beneath your beard. Work the remaining oil through your facial hair from root to tip, then use a comb or brush to distribute it evenly.
Start with a small amount and add more as needed for longer or thicker beards.
HOW TO USE BEARD BUTTER
Scoop out a small amount of solid beard butter and warm it between your palms until it melts. Massage it through your beard and into the skin beneath, then shape your beard with your hands, comb or brush.
For liquid beard butter, begin with a small amount in your palm and distribute it the same way. Beard butter can be used on its own or after beard oil when you want additional conditioning and softness.
HOW TO USE BEARD BALM
Scrape a dime-sized amount of beard balm from the jar using the back of your thumbnail. Rub it between your palms until it softens, then work it through your beard from the skin outward.
Finish by shaping your beard with your hands, comb or brush. Beard balm is especially useful when you want added control, a neat finish and help managing flyaways.
HOW TO USE BEARD WASH AND CONDITIONER
Thoroughly wet your beard with warm water. Apply a small amount of beard wash to your hands, work it into a lather and massage it through your beard and into the skin beneath. Rinse completely.
Follow with beard conditioner, working it through your facial hair. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Use two to three times per week or adjust according to your beard, skin and daily routine.
WHAT ORDER SHOULD YOU USE BEARD PRODUCTS?
For a complete routine, use your products in this order:
- Beard wash
- Beard conditioner
- Beard oil
- Beard butter or beard balm
You do not need to use every product each day. Choose beard butter when softness and conditioning are your priority, or beard balm when you want greater control and hold.
